Tanya Veits Fused Dichroic Glass Jewelry 9:00 am-5:00 pm

You will learn how to create 5-6 layer glass jewelry pieces along with dichroic shading and design, creating your own patterned dichroic glass. Intricate etching techniques are taught along with creating your own frit blends and using glassline paints tocreate your own landscapes. As the creator of those cool new decals you may have seen about, Tanya demonstrates serious decal work, while even adding your own color to the decals! You will learn coldworking techniques that are essential to producing quality work, including how to shape and set your pieces in silver settings. Marketing your jewelry is also discussed. This class fills up quickly! Students will leave with 6 - 8 jewelry projects. Basic fusing knowledge along with cutting skills are preferred,but not necessary. Students are required to bring their own dust mask, glass cutter and breaking pliers. You will need to bring a bring a dremel with you to class!

Dichroic layer pattern pieces.
Pieces abstract pendant.
Pelican Beach Layered Pendant.
Detailed Etched Tree pendant set in silver.
Painting Party Pendants (two)

WOW! We just offered this class and we have already have requests to do it again, so why wait!! Come play with torches, color and glass! This beginning class is great because you get to learn how to make glass beads while using OUR tools, which means no investment for tools. Walk in the door with little or no experience and leave at the end of class having played with fire and glass AND producing beautiful glass beads! March is a a double header BEAD month...take your beginning beadmaking to the next level with Beyond Beginning Oxy/Propane offered on March 31.
$150 includes materials. Class is limited to 6 students.

Stained Glass Bevel Box Making Class 5:00 pm-9:00 pm

Make a beautiful bevel box in one evening! No experience necessary. In this class you will learn the tricks of 3D assembly, stained glass soldering and patina's. The top and sides of the box are clear, sparkly beveled glass...choose a colored glass for the bottom of the box.
No experience neccessary!
$75 + $25 for materials.

Cutting Glass Can Be Easy! 9:00 am-10:00 am

Cutting glass can be easy if you know what you are doing! Come spend a little time improving or learning how with me. I will show you hand cutting, beetle bits strip system, Tauras and Apollo saws. Mosaic artists - Wouldnt you like to be able to incorporate all our fabulous textures and colors? This will expand your palate. Are you a stained glass artists who just want to brush up? Perfect!
Bring pistol grip cutter with a good tip, Metal Runners and groziers. Scrap glass will be provided for you to practice on. Simple patterns will be given in case you want something to solder up in the soldering workshop. No experience necessary!

Does your soldering need improvement? Have you never soldered for glass art but would like to now how? Bring some foiled pieces to class along with your soldering equipment and I will show you how to solder like a pro. You will need a soldering iron, rheostat, foiled pieces of glass, 50/50 or 60/40 solder, gel flux. If you would like us to have prepared pieces for you to solder we can do that for an additional 15.00. If you would like to try this on our equipment , you can do that too, no extra charge. If you have soldering stuff it is a good time to evaluate whether your equipment is wrong for your need or whether your technique needs more info. No experience necessary!
